Before (this is how the dining room looked when the house was up for sale before I purchased it)
After – painted and added wainscot, added an arch door fame, installed
the mirror, chandelier and china cabinet
Before when I first moved into the house
After – Shortly after moving in I painted the chair rail and below and added the boxes to create wainscot, I then added the chandelier (which was my parents) the curtains, artwork and palladian style mirror!
This room is very small which left me with very little space for a china cabinet, I ended up finding this piece online that someone was selling locally, I paid 50.00 for it! After getting it home I gave it a fresh coat of paint and installed it!
I recently repainted the inside of the china cabinet to a blue/gray color. I had the red color painted inside the china cabinet for 7 years, I grew tired of it so now it’s blue!
Your dining room is cute! Visiting from SITS!
Thanks so much for stopping by Lauren!
WOW! This is totally gorgeous! I can NOT believe you made that gorgeous, gorgeous archway!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and found AND installed that awesome corner china cabinet. The Palladian mirror is the icing on the perfect icing on the cake! If this were my house, I would walk in there every morning and say Good Morning!
LOL Jessica your reply is too funny! I will agree the dining room has come a long way from what I started with, I do love the arched door and mirror, brings in some charm of older homes that I love!
Love the work you did have gleaned many ideas. The mirror adds so much, I absolutely want one!!!.
😉 Thank you so much Judy! You can still get the mirror at Ballard Designs!
