Inspiration:
We had wainscot going up the
staircase in the house I grew up in and I wanted to mimic it in this
house.
Process:
I started out by using my graphics
software and drawing the wainscot onto a picture of my staircase by
doing
it helped me determine the number of
boxes I wanted going up the stairs. Next I figured out the
dimentions of
the boxes and purchased the wood.
I then cut the chair rail and installed it then proceeded to cut the
picture
molding and installed it, chalked
then painted. The angled cuts were done using my miter saw and
table saw.
